I first discovered the benefits of yoga in a small Iyengar Yoga studio in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1998. Practising at first to alleviate chronic upper back pain, yoga soon revealed itself as a holistic system which became beneficial on many different levels. Over the years that followed, I migrated from Iyengar to a path of exploring Ashtanga, leading to Vinyasa Flow Yoga, the style I currently practice and teach.
I have ultimately realised that yoga is a life-long journey, teaching us to live a fuller, more joyful and present life. Your own body becomes your best teacher.
I am a certified teacher (E-RYT 500, YACEP) through Yoga Arts, Australia and have been teaching since 2009. In 2014, whilst pregnant with my twin babies, I completed my Prenatal Yoga certification through SansYoga. I am also a certified Roll Model® Method practitioner and a Yoga Tune Up® teacher and have completed a 9-month Yoga Anatomy course with Leslie Kaminoff.
At the moment I am based in Barcelona, Spain, teaching group and private yoga classes in English and Spanish. I specialise in helping women cope with the stresses of city living by reconnecting to themselves.
My style of teaching style encourages students to mindfully explore their asana practice from a place of joy and fun while grounded in the principles of biomechanics, anatomy and the rich philosophical foundations of Yoga.
